Interlace-invent ApS is a research based consultancy firm based in Copenhagen (Denmark) with offices in Barcelona, London, Stockholm, Tallinn and Sophia-Antipolis, specialized in the development of networks of innovation, high-tech clusters, mobility, and ‘Innovation Environments’ in the urban spatial setting. This is founded on a unique holistic understanding and expertise in the realms of Knowledge Management, Innovation Economics, Knowledge Urbanism, Architecture, Place-Marketing and Management of Innovation Environments. These unique resources will be brought to bear fully in the assigned Research Tasks in a cross disciplinary methodology.

Interlace-invent has a unique combination of expert and hands-on skills that are brought to bear on the development of Clusters at National, Regional or Municipal levels. The substantial ‘Hubs&Regions’ research network (coordinated jointly with the Copenhagen Business School), includes 35 globally leading institutions and 69 individual researchers, dedicated to further our understanding of the ‘Hub’ phenomenon, the emerging transaction points in the global knowledge economy.
Each of the 10 Research Teams have developed expert related themes, such as mapping the global flows of knowledge and innovation, allowing us to provide a unique inter-disciplinary synthesis around clustering and hub issues. The research network is endorsed by more than 30 active stakeholders, including the OECD, cities such as Copenhagen, the Strategic Plan of Barcelona as well as leading private enterprises.

As a further unique resource, interlace-invent has developed a ‘Cluster Database’ of over 950 publications, articles, research papers and so-called ‘grey’ papers (intended for briefing purposes) that serves as a continually growing source of up-to-date knowledge. interlace-invent experts are respected members of European, National and Global networks in the field of Clustering, Regional Innovation Systems, Metropolitan Hubs and related issues.
