Medicon Valley Academy

The role of Medicon Valley Academy (MVA) in the project is to provide extensive knowledge on the medical devices sector. MVA has daily hands-on contact with all relevant actors within the medical technology, biotech, pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. As an organization with 250 members among them companies, hospitals and universities, MVA is placed in the centre of knowledge interaction in one of the strongest bioregions in the world, Medicon Valley.

MVA will especially contribute with profound experience on how to create, transfer and exploit knowledge within all phases of medical devices: From research projects with commercial opportunities at universities over well-establish medical technology companies looking for more venture capital allowing them to further development on devices up to the role of multinationals with strong demands on new R&D projects.

MVA has previously dealt with projects that are relevant to this project, including Medicon Valley Financing Guide, Medicon Valley Patent Guide and the innovation report, “From BioScience to new Jobs in Medicon Valley”. These projects have had international scopes, as MVA wants to take advantage of all relevant sources of knowledge and funding globally in the way to increase the regional competitiveness.
