TecKnowMetrix

TecKnowMetrix is a consulting firm that tracks leaders, competition and trends in science and technology by exploiting the information contained in databases on patents and scientific publications through data mining and statistics programs. In a consulting market where generalities and experts’ views are basically used as raw materials for giving “state of the art” or “competition description”, TKM delivers an exhaustive and synthetic approach to these issues, describing what is really being done by the actors, and what their fields of excellence are.

TecKnowMetrix provides a visual and quantitative representation (statistics, networks, mapping and economic indicators) of science and technology that can be directly used for strategy formulation.

Created in 2004, as a spin-off of the Department of Economics of INRA and the University Pierre Mendes France in Grenoble (Fr), TecKnowMetrix has a wide experience in consulting thanks to the numerous collaborations the team has conducted through the past decade into the academic network.

The methodology used by TecKnowMetrix has been validated by eminent scientists who are specialists in innovation in the sector of Biotechnologies and Medical Technology and our continuing interactions with the academic and scientific world ensures constant updating and improvement of TecKnowMetrix methods and tools.
